FAQ's

Is mobile therapy the same as home health therapy?

No, mobile therapy is a term used to describe outpatient therapy services that are provided in the home. For Medicare beneficiaries, it is covered by Part B. Instead of you driving to the clinic, I "bring the clinic to you."

Home health therapy is covered by Part A, for people that are temporarily or permanently home-bound.

Do I need a referral from a doctor to do physical therapy?

Not anymore, however they do require a doctor to sign off on the plan after the initial evaluation. Florida is now a direct-access state meaning you can always get a PT evaluation without a referral. Then after I evaluate you, I fax the report to your doctor for approval.

How many weeks will this last?

This is completely individualized, and it is a joint-decision between us, with your goals being the highest priority. During your initial evaluation we will have an open conversation about your prognosis, my recommended plan of care, your goals, and you will choose the option that works best for you.
